The Bride

An Indian wedding is like a book with many chapters, or a play with many scenes. Costumes, plots, and even characters change as the story progresses. This can be confusing for a Westerner. The colors are vibrant and the rituals intriguing none the less.

Jes and Deevya met and live in Australia. They’re contemporary by Indian standards yet honor their Indian traditions and Hindu faith. This came through clearly today. I imagine living in two worlds has its challenges for them. It must also provide insight and abilities to act as a bridge between worlds. Thanks for being the bridge today Jes and on this trip and during our friendship.

I would have used more pictures of Jes but his wife is prettier.

For all you single ladies out there: Now that Jes is married, his younger brother Krishna is available. See picture end of Day 5.

Okay, I’m feeling better. Think I’ll start easing back into Indian food again.
