Epic Adventures of Erik and Mike - Prologue

This series is about a northern summer’s journey made by two friends. Our goal is to compete in a running event called The Yukon River Trail Marathon, which is held on the first Sunday of August each year in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. However, most of the adventure will likely occur during road travel in Alaska and Canada, and while waiting in the frontier city of Whitehorse.

Mike Richmond is my BFF, and this will be our fifth road trip into Canada together.

UPDATE Dec 2024: The photos and the narrative above are original. However the rest of the post has been lost to time. I closed a website that this series was first uploaded to and saved the content as photos and PDFs. The file for this post had two paragraphs compressed into two lines. Instead of recreating the missing narrative, I'll just leave us with this: I'm sure it would have been as beautiful and unique as I always found Mike to be.
