Fish Congee with Noodles

I decided to go with a traditional Chinese style dish for breakfast and chose the fish congee with noodles. Congee is a rice based soup with the consistency of runny cream of wheat and about as bland. They mixed-in the fish and put the noodles on the side. Not bad, actually.

For The New Day

There was a small group of Chinese workers cleaning and polishing large glass vases in the foyer before inserting the day’s fresh flowers. They had a methodical, quiet way about how they approached this simple task. Observing their efforts somehow made my modest meal all the more enjoyable.

Water Drop Matrix Printer

Jes asked me what my favorite part of the hotel was because we had seen a lot of cool features during our stay. It was an easy question to answer. There was a slot in the ceiling that produced water droplets in patterns as precisely as if it were a giant dot matrix printer. It was amazing technology that captivated all who passed by as it dropped out words and patterns with a subtle chatter from it's hidden mechanics.

Not a lot happened today, and now we’re off to India. I sense some unease from Jes about returning to his homeland and wonder why.
